Red From Italy
Centuries of regional history are encapsulated in this wine, which is famous across the whole world. Read the name Chianti, and you think of hills, villages, parish churches and farmhouses, where time stands still, preserving beauty and taste, keeping them authentic and intact, just as they once were. How it is made The ripe grapes are picked and vinified for red wine, with maceration of the skins for around 8 days. The fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 28-29 C, with frequent pumping over and delastage to fully dissolve the anthocyanins, giving the wine intensity and persistence. The wine is aged until March in temperature-controlled vats. 2020 Yearbook of the Best Italian Wines by Luca Maroni - 96 points, best wine in the acquistability category
